Michelle LaFlam is a well-known association management executive in the Valley of the Sun.  With over 19 years experience in all facets of association management, Michelle has the respect of peers and clients alike.  As the Founder and President of Southwest Association Management, Inc., Michelle oversees the day-to-day operations of the business and its four full-time staff. SAM, Inc., a company that specializes in non-profit association management, directs 14 valley-based non-profits whose membership bases include ‘local’s only’ to international groups with members from around the globe.
 
Michelle has personally managed the Arizona Business Leadership Association since it’s inception in 1995. In 2003 Michelle was invited to become of member of the group, a significant and personally gratifying honor for her.  In addition to ABL, Michelle has served as Senior Account Manager for the Enterprise Network, Inc.; a local non-profit serving valley entrepreneurs, for 19 years and is currently the Executive Director of the Arizona Promotional Products Association.  Michelle takes a personal interest in ALL of her clients; from the detailed attention to the smooth transition of new clients, to the periodic check-up calls she makes to ensure all is well, which shows she truly cares. Michelle brings a wealth of information and guidance to the organizations that she serves.
 
Before founding SAM, Inc. in 1995, Michelle served as Director of Meeting Planning & Convention Services for over 10 years, managing the events and details of 52 local and national associations, coordinating 250 plus meetings/conventions per year.  Michelle and her husband Bryan live in Gilbert with their sons, Tyler, 12 and Parker 10.
